BWT Edge
Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 29, 2026
Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
BWT Edge is provided by FSR Capital, Inc., operating as Blue Wave Trading ("BWT," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how we handle personal information through the BWT Edge mobile apps for iOS and Android and the portal at edge.bluewavetrading.com, including its connected trading, learning, support and community features.
Our separate website at bluewavetrading.com manages website accounts, purchases, subscriptions and software licences. We use information from that account to identify you and to determine which Edge features you can access. Deleting your Edge account does not delete your website account.
For privacy questions or requests, email systems@bluewavetrading.com with the subject "BWT Edge privacy."
Information We Collect
What we handle depends on the features you use.
- Account and profile information: your name, email address, account identifiers, display name, timezone, profile visibility and competition choices, preferences, and mentor relationships.
- Trading information: connected account and strategy identifiers, strategy sessions, trades, trade screenshots, performance information, and the trading rules, plans, playbooks and checklists you save. Much of this is uploaded by licensed BWT software running in NinjaTrader on your computer rather than entered on your phone.
- Content you provide: journal entries, notes, ratings and tags; AI chat conversations; support tickets, replies and attachments; and messages, images and other content you post in community channels.
- Live sessions: when you join a live room in a web browser or the BWT Edge app, the chat messages, audio, video and screen content you choose to share are transmitted to the other participants. We do not record or store live audio or video. If a host streams a session to another service, such as YouTube, what you share in that session is included in the stream.
- Learning activity: course and lesson visits, viewing position and progress, and completion.
- Device and notification information: push-notification tokens, device manufacturer and model, app version, notification preferences, and registration and activity timestamps. We link these to your Edge account so we can deliver its notifications.
- Technical information: our web servers record requests to the service, including your IP address, the address requested, the time, and browser or app details. Our application logs record events needed to operate and troubleshoot the service. When you create an account, Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise assesses the registration request to help prevent automated sign-ups.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide sign-in and the features your licences include;
- show your connected trading activity, and relay commands you send from Edge to your connected software;
- save your journals, settings, rules and plans;
- deliver notifications;
- track your course progress;
- provide support and optional AI features;
- protect the service against abuse; and
- understand how features are used so we can maintain and improve them.
If you are on our email list, we use your product purchases and licences, and information about your Edge activity (for example, whether trading data has been uploaded or your software has checked its licence), to choose which marketing emails we send you. You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email.
Service Providers
We use service providers to operate BWT Edge. Depending on the feature, information is processed by:
- Hosting and storage: cloud hosting and storage providers in the United States (web and database servers, support services, and file and screenshot storage);
- Notifications and messaging: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service for app notifications, your web browser's push service for browser notifications, and Ably for relaying commands between Edge and your connected software;
- Email: Google (Gmail) for service emails, and Mailchimp for marketing email;
- AI: OpenAI for AI chat and insights;
- Video: Bunny.net for course video delivery;
- Registration protection: Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise; and
- Web page resources: jsDelivr and unpkg, public content delivery networks that serve some of the scripts and styles the portal loads, and therefore receive your IP address and browser details.
When you use AI chat, your messages, and information from your account retrieved to answer them, are sent to OpenAI for processing. We store your conversation history so you can return to it. Do not include information in a message that you do not want processed for that purpose.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
What Other Participants Can See
Content you post in a community channel, and the audio, video and screen content you share in a live session, are visible to that channel's or session's participants. A session host may broadcast a live session to an external streaming destination. Your mentor or coach can see the information the mentor features share with them. Review the audience before sharing personal or trading information.
Cookies and Local Storage
The portal and app use:
- a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to seven days after your last visit. It is sent to our bluewavetrading.com sites so one sign-in works across them, and cannot be read by page scripts;
- a security cookie that protects forms against cross-site request forgery;
- a theme cookie that remembers your light or dark theme for one year; and
- browser storage for display preferences, your chosen camera, microphone and speaker, and a random identifier that lets live rooms recognise your browser when it reconnects.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If you create an account, Google reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies under Google's terms. You can clear cookies and storage in your browser settings, but you will then need to sign in again.
Notification Choices
You can turn notifications on or off in your device or browser settings, and manage which notifications you receive in Edge. Turning off notifications does not delete your account or your stored device registration.
How Long We Keep Information
We apply these automated retention periods:
- web server logs, which include IP addresses, are deleted after about 30 days;
- application logs are kept for 14 days;
- trade screenshots are removed 365 days after they are taken, and permanently deleted within the following 30 days;
- screenshots from trading data you purge are permanently deleted 30 days after the purge;
- support ticket attachments are deleted 30 days after the ticket is closed;
- images posted in community chat are deleted after 365 days; and
- community channels that have been deleted are permanently removed 30 days later.
Other Edge information, including your trading history, journals, AI conversations and settings, is kept while your Edge account exists and is deleted or de-identified when you delete it, as described below.
When you delete your Edge account, we keep a record of the request (its status and dates) with your remaining account record, and the internal identifiers of your deleted trading sessions, without any other information, so that re-sent copies can be rejected. Deleted information may also remain in backups made before the deletion until those backups are replaced.
Your basic account record (name, email address, account identifiers and any linked Discord account) and your purchase, order, subscription and software-licence records belong to your separate bluewavetrading.com account and are kept with that account.
Deleting Your BWT Edge Account
You can delete your BWT Edge account from Profile > Account Deletion, or from our account-deletion page, which asks you to sign in first. You do not need to contact support.
When you confirm the request, you are signed out of Edge and push notifications stop. Your account is deleted automatically after a seven-day waiting period. Until then you can cancel: sign in again and choose Cancel Deletion and Sign In, which restores normal access. While a request is waiting, signing in only lets you cancel it. We email you when deletion is complete.
What is deleted:
- your Edge profile, settings and display preferences;
- your trading sessions, trades, executions, trade screenshots and results;
- journals, notes, tags, playbooks, trading rules, checklists and plans, including mentor notes;
- streaks and badges;
- AI chat conversations and AI analysis results;
- notifications, notification preferences, and push and device registrations;
- mentor and coaching links, in both directions; and
- commands sent from Edge to your connected software.
What is kept without your name: some information is also part of other people's records or of our service statistics. We keep it but remove your name, email address and link to your account, and attach it to a separate placeholder record that we do not link back to your account. This covers:
- messages, reactions and images you posted in shared community channels, and channels you created;
- course progress and lesson visits;
- templates you published to the Template Library, and their reviews, shares, downloads and installs;
- support tickets and their replies (support attachments are still deleted 30 days after the ticket is closed);
- records of live sessions you hosted or joined; and
- software error and crash reports.
This removes the link to you, but not what the content says. If you wrote your name, contact details or other personal information into a message, ticket or template, that text remains. If you want specific content removed, contact us before your account is deleted and we will review your request.
What is not affected: your bluewavetrading.com account, which is separate, and its purchase, order, subscription and software-licence records. Your licensed BWT software keeps working. Our marketing email list is also separate; use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to leave it.
If you sign in to Edge again after deletion, you start with a new, empty Edge account. If you keep running licensed EdgeMax software, it can upload new trading sessions, which start a new Edge history. Sessions that were deleted are not restored, and re-sent copies of them are rejected. To stop new uploads, stop using the connected software with that account.
Deleting your Edge account does not cancel paid subscriptions. Manage subscriptions through My Account on bluewavetrading.com.
Your Privacy Requests
Wherever you live, you can ask us for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information by emailing systems@bluewavetrading.com. You can also update your profile settings in Edge. We will need to confirm that the request comes from the account holder, usually by replying to the email address on the account, and we respond within 45 days.
Security and Where Information Is Processed
The BWT Edge apps and your browser connect to the portal over HTTPS. The sign-in cookie cannot be read by page scripts, and access to your account data requires signing in. No system is completely secure, and we do not claim end-to-end encryption.
BWT is based in the United States, and our web and database servers are located there. Our service providers may process information in other countries. If you use BWT Edge from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Children
BWT Edge is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above.
